Vail Mountain, the world’s premier alpine destination, has officially announced the launch of more than 50 live music events, spanning mountain and the villages, while simultaneously featuring headline performances by GRAMMY-nominated duo Sofi Tukker and EDM icon Dillon Francis.
Talk about these events on a slightly deeper level, we begin from the Après All Day event at Express Lift. Set to take place on the opening day, Express Lift, at the base of Gondola One, will bring together more than 30 musicians under one roof, effectively doubling last year’s Après All Day events. This après series will, in essence, feature live DJs on Saturdays and Sundays, all done in a close partnership with Pepsi and Lalo Tequila.
Next up, we have one From the Underground to the Unconventional experience, conducted at Shakedown Bar, which happens to be a 198-person live music venue. This particular venue features a cutting-edge sound and lighting system with full studio recording capabilities, empowering visitors to venture below ground for an excellent live music journey.
Another event poised to become a part of this whole development is called HERE. Chasing Rabbits will basically host multiple well-known artists throughout the season, bringing the music alive throughout the village and late into the night. As for the artists lineup, it spans Dillon Francis, Chris Lorenzo, and many more.
Apart from that, Chasing Rabbits will also work alongside AM Radio. This builds upon last year’s success when the free outdoor show in Solaris Plaza featured artists Surf Mesa, Justin Jay, and Emmitt Fenn. Since then, AM Radio has only grown their national reach, hosting shows in LA, Miami, New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago, and Austin.
Another detail worth a mention is rooted in the expanded form of Après in Solaris Plaza, which is going to feature co-promoted events with AM Radio and Raw Cuts. Turning our attention towards main caliber acts, they include Mindchatter, Surf Mesa, Justin Jay, Emmit Fenn, Laszewo, TEED, Sunday Scaries, Très Mortimer and closing a season of top-notch music.
More on the same would reveal how, for seven consecutive weeks, the series will bring an electric apres vibe to the village, generating excitement leading into the season’s biggest music events.
“This season is all about creating unforgettable moments for our guests,” said Beth Howard, Vail Mountain’s Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “Whether it’s carving fresh corduroy, dancing to live music in the village or on the mountain, or relaxing with elevated après and dining, we’re delivering a winter experience that’s as seamless as it is spectacular.”
Then, there is the Two Martini Lunch, which bestows upon guests an oversized Caesar Salad, Truffle Fries, and Martinis for two. Joining that would be the Alpine Duet at the Two Elk Biergarten, where guests can enjoy two beers, two brats, and a shared dessert in a festive setting in the Two Elk Biergarten.
These guests can also enjoy Sun Terrace experience at Mid Vail, spanning revamped classics including pizza, poke bowls, salads, burgers, pasta and dessert. Once you have made your plate, you can head outside to the newly reimagined sun terrace, inspired by Europe’s alpine cafes, where sling chairs, umbrellas and mountain views all link-up to create a perfect blend.
Rounding up highlights would be the 10th Restaurant at the top of Gondola One. You see, at the 10th, skiers, riders, and foot passengers can enjoy thoughtfully crafted menus and amazing views of the Gore Range with a nod to Vail Mountain’s founders and the 10th Mountain Division. For better understanding, the stated dining outlet is best-known for its decadent mountain cuisine, elevated cocktails, and refined hospitality.
