ATEC America’s automation technology cuts labor time, boosts retail security, and delivers real-time cash visibility
Oklahoma City, 11 February 2026 – In today’s fast-moving retail environment, speed and security matter more than ever. Across Oklahoma, Choctaw Travel Plazas operate 24 hours a day, serving travelers with fuel, food, merchandise, and gaming services. With 21 convenience locations processing hundreds of cash transactions daily, managing multiple cash drawers across shifts had become time-consuming and labor-intensive.
To solve the challenge, Choctaw partnered with Financial Equipment Company of Oklahoma (FEC), which recommended the Enterprise Cash Manager (E3) from ATEC America, a leading cash automation and cash management solutions provider.
The E3 is an all-in-one cash management system designed to improve efficiency and strengthen retail security. It recycles both cash and coins, offers real-time inventory control, and includes a bank-grade UL 291 24-hour safe. The system also features dual control locks, tamper-proof smart cassettes, and secure access options such as biometric authentication, NFC, and keycard entry. Retailers can build and balance multiple cash drawers directly against their POS systems, simplifying end-of-day processes.
Before automation, each Choctaw location managed 15 to 16 cash drawers daily. With the E3 in place, each drawer now saves approximately 30 minutes of manual balancing time. That translates to nearly eight labor hours saved per location every day. Employees can now focus more on customer service rather than back-office cash handling.
The system can handle up to 20,000 banknotes across six denominations and provides detailed reporting across all store locations. Its flexible cassette configuration allows customization to meet unique retail needs. The automation software also offers real-time cash visibility, helping management forecast demand, monitor inventory, and reduce shrinkage risk.
Choctaw Travel Plazas plans to deploy the E3 solution in over 70 percent of its convenience locations by the end of 2026. The move reflects a growing trend in retail cash automation, where businesses are investing in secure cash handling technology to reduce labor costs, minimize risk, and increase profitability.
ATEC America, originally focused on financial institutions, has expanded into retail, gaming, and other industries as demand for advanced cash management systems grows. By combining retail technology, cash recycling systems, and secure cash storage, the company aims to help businesses achieve faster ROI and stronger operational control.
As digital payments rise, cash remains a key part of the retail economy. For businesses handling high transaction volumes, adopting modern cash automation and POS-integrated solutions is becoming less of a luxury and more of a necessity.
