Four Seasons has officially announced a new series of experiences that are all designed to showcase Hawaiian culture and traditions, as well as the spectacular natural beauty of islands and surrounding waters.
According to certain reports, the company will connect guests, at five unique resorts across Maui, Oahu, Hawaii Island, and two distinct retreats on Lanai, with local artists, farmers, astronomers, ocean guides, and wellness experts in regards to experiences tailored as per individual interests and personal goals.
Taking a better view of how things are likely to pan out at each resort, we begin from Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, where guests can connect with the spirit of Hawaii through exclusive experiences focused on relaxation, adventure, and culinary discovery.
For instance, the Iliahi Farm and Spa journey empowers visitors to enjoy the sacred art of sandalwood farming, whereas on the other hand, the Kimi Werner Ocean Experience invites guests to connect intimately with the ocean on a one-in-a-lifetime curated free-diving adventure.
Furthermore, you can come expecting to link the pristine Kona coast through on-site exploration of coastline diversity, using a private charter of the Resort’s Alakai Nui, 46′ catamaran. Guided by a team of marine biologists, guests from all ages may take advantage of various different educational and interactive marine life experiences at the Kumu Kai Marine Center.
Another detail worth a mention here is rooted in the resort’s Moonlight Massage Spa Experience. This particular experience will help guests reserve spa after hours to ensure complete privacy and exclusivity. Joining the mix would be a unique and fully private moon bathing ritual, which involves basking in the moonlight during bespoke wellness treatments.
The idea behind that stems from tapping into moon’s healing properties, including stress reduction, anti-inflammation, and balancing of the body’s internal energy.
Next up, we have Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, well-equipped to elevate Hawaiian tradition with the Live Aloha program, inviting guests to immerse themselves in authentic Hawaiian culture through experiences that unfold at their traditional, unhurried pace.
Led by Director of Hawaiian Programs “Aunt Wendy” Tuivaioge, the exclusive Behind the Scenes of Hula experience also provides you with a rare glimpse into the world of competitive hula on the Resort’s recently unveiled Queen’s Garden Pā.
The resort also offers you an exclusive evening sail which celebrates Hawaii’s storied voyaging traditions. Hosted by renowned Hawaiian navigator, Kala Baybayan Tanaka, guests will enjoy a multi-course dinner inspired by ancient “canoe plants”.
As stars emerge overhead, they can also discover how to leverage the ancient art of celestial navigation.
Guests can even start a breathtaking guided hike from Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina to Ma’ili Pillbox, covering Oahu’s stunning western coast. You see, no matter whether it is sunrise or sunset, the ascent in question will offer a meditative experience, an experience where each step reveals a deeper connection to the land, the ocean, and the journey itself.
This particular resort will also have a Moananuiakea Celestial Voyage, designed to transform a tranquil evening into a celestial adventure aboard a traditional Polynesian canoe. As a result, travellers can disconnect from modern navigation tools, turning instead to the stars and ocean as ancient Polynesians did centuries ago.
Once back on land, the experience will include an evening full of stargazing and astronomical discovery, where beneath a canopy of stars, guests will be able to follow the Hawaiian star lines and learn how Polynesian wayfarers mapped their journeys across the ocean.
Beyond that, at Sensei Lanai, you can enjoy transformative wellness journeys in a serene tropical setting under the stars and amongst lush gardens. During the Evening Hale Time, couples can markedly relax in a private 1,000-square-foot (93-square-metre) hale, which features an infrared sauna, steam shower, Ofuro bath, outdoor rain shower, and outdoor plunge pools.
After that, they can try an evening glow sound bath, or open sky meditation.
Complementing that would be the resort’s Rest and Reset Experience and the availability of private wellness consultations. Alongside that, we have Mindset 1:1 facility with biomarkers to help guests identify thought patterns, and at the same time, learn strategies for better stress management.
