A Major Amalgamation of Powers to Enhance Various Hospatility Industry Touchpoints

Shiji has officially announced an expanded agreement with Amadeus to promote and facilitate the licensing and referral of each other’s best-in-class solutions.

According to certain reports, the stated agreement is now structured to deliver at the disposal of hoteliers a more comprehensive end-to-end portfolio, featuring industry-leading products such as Shiji Daylight PMS, Infrasys POS, Amadeus HotSOS, Amadeus Delphi, Amadeus iHotelier, and Amadeus Central Reservation System (ACRS) among others.

More on the same would reveal how, thanks to the given collaboration, Amadeus and Shiji plan on integrating their solutions in to conceive enhanced value for the hospitality industry, and at the same time, address the current industry challenges of fragmentation, connectivity, and personalization.

Not just that, the ACRS integration, in particular, will also tread up a long distance to enable single-image integration at an attribute level. Such a mechanism, like you can guess, makes it possible for ACRS to become the master record for inventory, rates, and availability of room and non-room products, while simultaneously providing the foundations for more personalized guest sales and merchandizing.

“We are excited to work with Amadeus to deliver a global solution that empowers hotels with cutting-edge technology and seamless support,” said Kevin King, CEO, Shiji International. “This collaboration ensures that hotels have access to the most advanced tools available.”

Talk about the whole value proposition on a slightly deeper level, we begin from the  promise of providing an integrated technology suite. Here, users can come expecting a complete stack of solutions that span property management, point of sale, central reservations, sales and catering, and hotel operations with state-of-the-art integrations.

Next up, we must expand upon the focus on scaling topline sales through guest servicing and personalization, something which makes a point to leverage unique single-image integration at attribute or room-type level, empowering hoteliers to expand ACRS enablers across all available channels, all for the purpose of enhancing their merchandizing and upsell strategies.

Another detail worth a mention is rooted in the facility to streamline vendor management. You see, hotels can now seamlessly work through a single provider to access all mission-critical technology needs, translating towards a unified approach to first line service and support.

An example relaying the same relates to how the given technology allows Shiji Daylight PMS to be licensed via Amadeus and bundled with other Amadeus products, or conversely, Amadeus Delphi & HotSOS suite of products to be licensed via Shiji and bundled with Daylight PMS. Having said so, both companies will continue to operate individually, independently manage their services and security, as well as separately host customer data.

Hold on, we still have a couple of bits left to unpack, considering we haven’t yet touched upon an aspect committed to enhancing global service and continuity. Thanks to Amadeus and Shiji’s combined global reach, hotels can benefit from broad support and a seamless experience across markets.

Rounding up highlights would be the fact that, with access to most advanced solutions and technology on the market today deployed across the board, hotels can centralize their technology partners and buying power so to avail more unified support and service.

Founded in 1998, Shiji’s rise up the ranks stems on the back of its Shiji Platform; which happens to be the only truly global hotel technology platform. The company’s cloud-based portfolio, at present, packs together Property Management System, Point-of-Sale, guest engagement, distribution, payments, and data intelligence solutions, serving them to well over 91,000 hotels worldwide, including the largest chains.

Shiji’s excellence in what it does can also be understood once you consider it is a trusted partner for the world’s leading hoteliers. Apart from that, Shiji also serves select customers in food service, retail, and entertainment in certain regions.

Turning our attention towards Amadeus, it makes a case for itself by connecting ways of thinking, centered around the traveler, to achieve better travel experiences.

“With this alliance, we are redefining how hotels access and use technology,” said Francisco Pérez-Lozao Rüter, President, Hospitality, Amadeus. “By bringing our products and expertise together with Shiji’s and providing new single-image integrations, we are offering an unparalleled solution that addresses historical fragmentation and delivers the best in PMS, POS, CRS, sales and catering, and hotel operations technology.”
