Destination by Hyatt brand has officially announced the expansion of its “Roots to Reunion” program, which is designed to help multigenerational families Discover Differently.
According to certain reports, the stated program is now available at 10 true-to-place properties from California to the United Kingdom, where it will offer curated itineraries, on-site Family Travel Experts, and immersive experiences tailored as per every kind of gathering. Hence, regardless of whether they are celebrating milestones or simply reconnecting, families can now explore even more destinations together with intention and ease.
More on the same would reveal how each “Roots to Reunion” resort boasts dedicated Family Travel Expert to work one on one with families for curating an itinerary which caters to different ages and interests. Select hotels that are a part of the program will also offer Reunion Ready Kits to amplify family time with items like snowball makers at The Lodge at Spruce Peak, pickleball essentials at Hana-Maui Resort or S’mores ingredients at The Seabird Resort.
Talk about hotels set to benefit from Destination by Hyatt’s recent expansion drive, we begin from Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, where guests can come expecting to paddleboard on a private lake, explore Garden of the Gods, and gather for s’mores under the stars. This Rocky Mountain retreat, apart from that, also offers spacious suites and connects rooms ideal for larger groups.
Next up, there is the Hotel X Toronto, a property which offers guests skyline views paired with multi-room suites, a rooftop pool, sport simulator, a 3,000 sq. ft. play center, private screening room. Beyond that, it has in-room robes and slippers for all sizes, gourmet treats, a take-home keepsake, and on-site strollers for lakeside walks.
Another property in question would be The Carolina Inn from North Carolina. The Carolina Inn will bring into the mix residential-style rooms and Southern hospitality to set the stage for memorable family moments like pig roasts, outdoor movies and afternoon tea. Families can also explore the UNC Basketball Museum, visit local farms, or if not that, they can wind down on the hotel’s front porch.
Moving on, Destination by Hyatt also picked Oceanside’s Seabird Resort to be a part of its program, and it did so because of the property’s oceanfront firepits, a beach concierge, and bikeable access to whale watching, along with local attractions like Top Gun House. Alongside that, it boasts Oceanview suites, family welcome kits, and private cabanas to create comfort for every generation.
Looking past these new hotels, the program in question will continue to remain available at an assortment of other properties.
The stated assortment includes Everline Resort & Spa Lake Tahoe, which offers an alpine escape for all seasons with ski-in/ski-out access, golf, hiking and family-friendly amenities like pools, trails, and winter recreation.
Up next would be the Hana-Maui Resort in Hawaii. Located along Maui’s eastern coast, this peaceful retreat combines island culture with outdoor adventure, from hula basics to waterfall hikes.
SCHLOSS Roxburghe in Scotland is also an existing participant of Destination by Hyatt’s program. SCHLOSS Roxburghe helps families unplug in private cottages and explore activities like archery, falconry and forest walks.
Hold on, we still have a few bits left to unpack, considering we haven’t yet touched upon Suncadia Resort in Washington. Surrounded by 6,400 acres of forest, the property essentially offers biking trails, golf, nature outings, and seasonal family programming.
We also haven’t touched upon The Lodge at Spruce Peak & Residences in Stowe, Vermont, which is set at the base of Vermont’s highest peak. This one allows families to ski, hike, golf, or enjoy curated group outings and farm-to-table dining year-round.
Rounding up highlights would be the Wild Dunes Resort & Residences situated in Charleston, South Carolina, a property where you can enjoy beach adventures, family-friendly dining, and plenty of space to relax and explore together.
“With the expanded Roots to Reunion program, we’re thrilled to add more awe-inspiring Destination by Hyatt hotels locations where families can reconnect not just with each other, but with the distinct culture, soul and natural beauty of the places they visit,” said Katie Johnson, Vice President & Global Brand Leader of Luxury and Collection Brands.
